IPL auction: 67 players sold

Bangalore, Feb 16 (IBNS): A total of 67 players, including 43 Indians cricketers, were sold as Indian premier League Player Auction was concluded in Bangalore on Monday.

All-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who was not selected for the World Cup this year, went to Delhi Daredevils for a record fee of Rs 16 crore.

Wicket Keeper Dinesh Karthik was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for an eye-opening Rs.10.5 crore.

Spinner Amit Mishra went for Rs.3.5 crore to the Delhi side. The same side also bought Sri Lankan Angelo Mathews for Rs.7.50 crore.

"Of the 349 players who featured in the same, 67 players were sold. This comprises 43 Indians and 24 players from overseas. 33 of the sold players are capped, and 34 are uncapped," the BCCI said in a statement.

Yuvraj Singh tweeted: "Zak attackkkkk! @DelhiDaredevils @ImZaheer time to hit @prosport_fit."
