New Delhi, May 7 (IBNS): After series of defeats, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) finally returned to the path of victory by beating Delhi Daredevils by eight wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Wednesday.

Chasing Delhi's 160 for five, KKR reached 161 by losing two wickets with 10 balls to spare.

Openers- Robin  Uthappa (47) and Gautam Gambhir (69)-added 106 runs in the opening wicket partership to give the side a solid start.

Delhi's Wayne Parnell  got rid off both the wickets but could not prevent the defeat of his side as

Manish Pandey (23*) and the experienced Jacques Kallis (10*) reached the winning runs for the visitors.

Earlier, Delhi posted 160 for five on the scorecard.

Jean-Paul Duminy played a sensational knock of unbeaten 28-ball 40.

Kedar Jadhav(26*) and Dinesh Karthik (36) made some useful contributions with their willows in the match.

The match was interesting as several Bengal players, including Mohammed Shami and Laxmi Shukla, played for the Delhi outfit against their previous IPL side KKR.

Shakib Al Hasan was the most successful  of the KKR bowlers as he picked up one wicket by giving only 13 runs in his four overs.
