Hyderabad, Nov 5 (IBNS): Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise SunRisers Hyderabad on Monday announced that they will trade Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan to Delhi Daredevils.

Dhawan has been traded for cricketers Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Abhishek Sharma.

The Indian left-handed batsman will play for Delhi Daredevils, which had a dismal tournament last season, in 2019.

Issuing a press release, SunRisers Hyderabad said: "The franchise has made the decision to trade Shikhar as they feel it is best for both parties. SunRisers value the great contribution that Shikhar has made over the years, and saddened that due to financial reasons, he feels its time to move on. We wish him and his family all the best."

Dhawan, a Delhi-based cricketer, was picked by the SunRisers Hyderabad franchise in 2013.

In 2018, he scored 497 runs for SunRisers which reached the IPL final but lost to Chennai Super Kings.
