ISL: Nicolas Anelka to play for Mumbai City FC

Mumbai, Sept 15 (IBNS) Former French international Nicolas Anelka will play for Mumbai CityFC in the upcoming Indian Super League.

Anelka said he is looking forward to play in the Indian Super League.

"I'm pleased to join Mumbai City FC & very exciting in joining Indian Super League," the footballer tweeted.

In a series of tweets, he said: "Talented international players & top Indian talent will make matches thrilling affairs. I look forward to using my ability to do well for my team in the matches we will play."

He said: "Are you ready @mumbaicityfc ? Here I come. Looking forward to it !"

He had played 69 matches for France.

Mumbai City FC later tweeted: " Mumbai City FC is proud to welcome its latest signing, .@anelkaofficiel."
