It's honour to represent the nation at the Rio Olympics: Leander Paes

Mumbai, June 11 (IBNS): Gearing up to represent India for the seventh straight times in the Olympics, Tennis star Leander Paes on Saturday said it is an honour for him to be able to represent his nation in the mega sports event.

"Thank you everyone for your support. I am humbled. It's an honour to represent the nation at the Rio Olympics," Paes posted on his Facebook page.

The All India Tennis Association (AITA), on Saturday, chose veteran Leander Paes to partner Rohan Bopanna  in the men's doubles tennis tournament at the Rio Olympics, according to media reports.

Paes, who has 18 Grand Slam titles to his credit, will be playing for a record seventh time in the Olympics.
