Jerome Valcke to visit India in October

New Delhi, Sept 27 (IBNS) : FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke FIFA will be visiting India in October , the AIFF said on Saturday.

This will be his second visit to the country in two years.

Valcke had last visited India in September 2012.

Confirming Valcke’s visit, Kushal Das, General Secretary, AIFF, said: “Jerome will be visiting Delhi from October 14-16 next month. His visit is a very significant one as it will further strengthen AIFF”s ties with FIFA. We are eagerly waiting to meet him again.”

“During his last visit to India in September 2012, Valcke had stressed on India bidding for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. With the technical and the administrative aspects of FIFA 2017 U-17 World Cup taking shape, we look forward to his inputs which will guide us in successfully hosting the 2017 U-17 World Cup,” Das further stated.
