J&K: Carrom championship concludes in Srinagar

Srinagar/IBNS: The two day Carrom Championship organised by J&K Carrom Association concluded at Hotel Management Institute, Rajbagh on Sunday.

In the championship, 110 both boys and girls participated in various age groups.

Mayor Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu, was the chief guest.

As per Association's statement, the championship was held to boost the morale among the youth of J&K.

“Players showed tremendous and brilliant presentations on board. In this championship, 88 matches were played in the junior and senior category for both boys and girls sections," it said.

In the junior boys section, Arsalan bagged first place while Nazim and Hashim bagged second and third respectively.

In the junior girls section, Ridha Madni bagged first place, Sheikh Arooj and Hafsa bagged second and third positions respectively.

Furqan Nazir, Aijaz Maqsood and Adnan Afzal Bhat bagged first three positions respectively in senior men’s section, while Sabira Feroz, Sharika Majeed and Fiza Yousuf bagged first three positions respectively in senior women section.

Later Junaid Azim Mattu distributed prizes among the winners.
