J&K Police, Kashmir Avengers win matches

Srinagar: In the ongoing Khyber Premier Division football league, both the table toppers Downtown Heroes FC and J&K Bank FC suffered defeats on Saturday at Synthetic Turf TRC ground here.

In the first match of the day, J&K Police Team defeated Downtown Heroes FC to claim top spot at the points table in Group A.

In the match the Police Team defeated Downtown Heroes FC by 1-0 goals. Salman Hussain scored the only goal of the match for Police XI.

Mansoor of J&K Police was declared man of the match. In the second match of the day, Kashmir Avengers FC inflicted a shock defeat on J&k Bank FC. Kashmir Avenger's FC won the match by 1-0.

Kalvin of Kashmir Avengers FC scored the only goal of the match in the 75th minute.

Burhan of Kashmir Avengers FC was awarded man of the match.

The tournament is organized by JKFA in collaboration with JKSC.
