Sharjah , Apr 20 (IBNS): David Miller's unbeaten 51 and Glenn Maxwell 's 89, helped Kings XI Punjab beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets here on Sunday.

Maxwell played a gutsy knock of 89 runs which was laced by eight boundaries and six sixes.

Maxwell and Cheteshwar Pujara (40) earlier added 116 runs in the third wicket partnership and helped in stabilising the innings after Virender Sehwag (2) and Wriddhiman Saha (2) departed quickly to leave the Kings struggling at 10 for two.

After Maxwell departed, Pujara and Miller added 67 runs in the fourth wicket partnership and ensured Kings reach the target at the end quite comfortably.

Kane Richardson, Dhawal Kulkarni  and James Faulkner picked a wicket apiece.

Earlier, RR scored 191 for five on the scorecard.
