Hammering 14-ball 32 runs, which included three boundaries and two sixes, Glenn Maxwell set a victory for the visitors at the end of the match.
M Ashwn picked up three wickets for Pune.
Faf du Plessis hit 67 runs and Steve Smith scored 38 runs which helped Pune score 152 runs on the scorecard.
Mohit Sharma took three wickets for Kings.
