Manchester City eyeing Brazilian teenager Rosa

| @indiablooms | Jul 17, 2020, at 10:32 pm

Rio de JaneiroXinhua: Manchester City are negotiating a deal to sign teenage midfielder Diego Rosa from Brazil's Gremio, according to media reports in the South American country.

The 17-year-old has impressed City scouts with his performances for Gremio's under-20 team and representatives from both clubs are hopeful of reaching an agreement in the coming days, the UOL news portal reported.

It added that a deal could see Rosa join any of City's seven feeder clubs, which include NY City in the United States and Montevideo Torque in Uruguay.

Rosa was a part of the Brazil team that won the FIFA under-17 World Cup as tournament hosts last year.

Manchester City currently have three Brazilians in their first-team squad: striker Gabriel Jesus, midfielder Fernandinho and goalkeeper Ederson.
