Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Daredevils by 80 runs

Visakhapatnam, May 15 (IBNS); Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Daredevils by 80 runs in an Indian Premier League match here on Sunday.

After posting massive 206 runs for the loss of four wickets, Mumbai Indians bowlers, specially Jasprit Bumrah bowled wonderfully and picked up three wickets, to bowl out Delhi Daredevils for 126 runs with five balls to spare.

Quinton de Kock remained the top scorer for Delhi with his 40  runs off 28 balls, hitting four boundaries and two sixes.

The remaining batting lineup, except Rishabh Pant (23) and Chris Morris (20), failed to contribute with their willows.

Bumrah shined with the ball and destroyed the Delhi battling order by picking up three wickets for 13 runs in his four overs.

Krunal Pandya took two wickets.

Earlier,it was Pandya, who played some exciting shots in his 37-ball 86 runs, where he hammered seven boundaries and six over boundaries to help his side post 206 runs on the scorecard

New Zealand's Martin Guptill  contributed 48 runs with his willow. He smashed two boundaries and three sixes in his knock.

Skipper Rohit Sharma scored 31 runs, hitting one boundary and three sixes.

Guptill and Pandya contributed 98 runs  in their second wicket partnership.


Chis Morris picked up two wickets for Delhi.
