New Delhi: After a new pavilion stand in the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi was named after him, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli said the stand will remind him of his journey in life and journey.

Kohli tweeted, "Thank you @delhi_cricket and @BCCI for bestowing this honour upon me. The pavilion will remind me of my journey in life and in cricket but most importantly I hope it will serve as an inspiration for the next generation of young cricketers of our nation."

Along with Kohli, his actress wife Anushka Sharma was also present at the event which was held at the Weightlifting Auditorium of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

The Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Thursday was renamed after former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who passed away last month.
