Not the way we wanted to finish World Cup campaign: Kane

London, July 15 (IBNS): British captain Harry Kane on Sunday said his England ended the World Cup campaign, not in the way they wanted to do it.

Kane said his side gained several positives from the tournament.

He tweeted: "Not the way we wanted to finish but so many positives to take from this experience. Travelling fans and everyone back home have been great - thank you. #ENG #ThreeLions #WorldCup."

England were defeated in the semi-finals of the World Cup by Croatia.

Belgium then defeated Kane's side in the match for the third position.

Croatia and France will face each other in the final of the tournament on Sunday.
