Bangkok, July 15 (IBNS):  Nozomi Okuhara defeated Indian Badminton star  PV Sindhu in the final of the Thailand Open here on Sunday.

The Indian was defeated by her opponent 15-21, 18-21.

The match lasted for 50 minutes.

BAI Media Tweeted: "@nozomi_o11 won the match 21-15; 21-18 to defeat @Pvsindhu1 in a straight game. Wasn't an ideal finish but you will come back strong, Sindhu. #BestofBadminton #IndiaontheRise."

Despite a strong performance by Sindhu in the match, the Japanese played all her hearts out on the court to deny the Indian another title.
