R Praggnanandhaa beats Gukesh D in Tata Steel Chess Tournament 2025

New Delhi/IBNS: R Praggnanandhaa has defeated world chess champion Gukesh Dommaraju in the Tata Steel Chess Tournament 2025, media reports said.

The two players were tied at the Masters leaderboard with 8.5/13.

The tie-breaker was full of drama.

Gukesh won the first game capitalising on the blunder committed by Praggnanandhaa.

However, Praggnanandhaa bounced back in the second game.

After the defeat, Gukesh turned emotional and looked devastated while Praggnanandhaa came out with flying colours.
