Rajasthan Royals skipper Steven Smith fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over-rate against Mumbai Indians clash

Abu Dhabi/UNI: Rajasthan Royals Captain Steven Smith has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 match against Mumbai Indians.

As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Smith was fined Rs 12 lakh, the IPL committee said in a statement on Wednesday.

Mumbai Indians (MI) completed a hat-trick of wins after they beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 57 runs at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here on Tuesday.
