Auckland/IBNS: New Zealand took an unbeatable 2-0 lead against India in the One Day International (ODI) series by winning the second match here on Saturday.

Ravindra Jadeja, who had played an equally memorable heroic knock in the semi-final of the World Cup last year against the same opponent, failed to reach the target once again as India were bowled out by hosts for 251 runs.

New Zealand, despite initial jolts recovered by riding on the shoulders of Ross Taylor (73), posted 273 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Jamieson contributed crucial 25 runs at the end which added more troubles for Virat Kohli and his colleagues.
Taylor smashed six boundaries and two sixes in the innings.

Chahal picked up three wickets for India.

New Zealand recovered well and fast after they were reduced to 197 for eight at one point in the match.

Prithvi Shaw (24) and Mayank Agarwal (3) once again failed to provide the perfect start to India and the visitors were reduced to 5-96 at one point in the innings.

Jadeja (55) and Saini (45) tried to fight the almost lost cause and gave India an oppurtunity to reach close to the target.

Iyer added 52 runs with his willow.

Grandhomme, Grandhomme, Southee and Bennett took two wickets in the innings.
