Russell guides KKR to victory against Kings

Mohali, Apr 18 (IBNS): Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Kings XI Punjab by 4 wickets in an Indian Premier League clash here on Saturday.

Andre Russell played a blistering knock of 66 runs to help his team win the match after KKR lost 5 wickets for just 60 runs.

The West Indian all rounder scored 66 runs off just 36 balls during which he smashed 9 fours and 2 sixes.

Yusuf Pathan(28) and Surya Kumar Yadav(23) also chipped in with useful cameos.

Sandeep Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for Kings XI Punjab as he picked up four wickets by conceding just 25 runs in his four overs.

Earlier in the match, Kings XI Punjab captain George Bailey scored 60 runs to help his team post a formidable total on board as all other batsmen failed to contribute to the cause.

Glenn Maxwell scored 33 off 26 balls.

Umesh Yadav picked up 3 wickets for KKR, giving away 33 runs.

This was Kolkata Knight Riders' second win of IPL 2015.
