Mumbai, July 18 (IBNS): Former Indian cricket team captain Sachin Tendulkar has inked a bond with Middlesex Cricket to launch a global academy.

The academy has been named as Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy.

Informing his fans about the academy on Instagram, Tendulkar said: "Delighted to be partnering with @middlesexcricket for the launch of “Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy". I believe that a global platform for young talented minds combined with some world-class training facilities will help push the boundaries, to not only develop great players but also to develop fine global citizens."

The academy will provide an opportunity to young boys and girls, aged between 9 and 14, to learn from Tendulkar and Middlesex Cricket, The Times Of India reported.

The academy is a joint venture of SRT Sports Management Ltd and Middlesex Cricket. It will launch its first cricket camp at Merchant Taylor's School in Northwood, London from Aug 6 to Aug 9, report said.

The camps will also be launched in Mumbai, the home city of Tendulkar.
