Serena Williams seeded 25th for Wimbledon

London, June 27 (IBNS): After taking time off for the birth of her baby, US Tennis star Serena Williams will soon be seen in the Wimbledon championship and this time she has been seeded 25th for the tournament.

Serena is ranked 183rd in the world.

She missed last year's Wimbledon as she was pregnant.

She has played just three tournaments in the past 12 months.

World No.1 Simona Halep, the French Open champion, has been seeded first for the tournament.

Swiss master Roger Federer has been seeded first for the tournament in the men's category.

He is ahead of Rafael Nadal of Spain.

An excited Serena tweeted: " 6 days until #Wimbledon 15 years ago a boy from Switzerland and a girl from the US, both 21, shared the stage at Wimbledon for the first time.. and it wouldn’t be the last. ."
