Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has changed his Twitter picture in support of fast bowler Arshdeep Singh, who was brutally trolled online for dropping a crucial catch in the India-Pakistan Super Four match in Asia Cup 2022 Sunday.

Chopra's display picture on Twitter now features Arshdeep, who dropped a relatively easy catch off the bowling of Ravi Bishnoi.

Misinformation was allegedly spread on Arshdeep's Wikipedia page linking him to the separatist Khalistani movement.

The Electronics and IT Ministry of the country has summoned Wikipedia executives to explain the misinformation.

After the catch was dropped, Pakistan went on to register a five-wicket win over arch-rival India in the Super Four contest of Asia Cup 2022 Sunday.

Despite the drop, Arshdeep unsuccessfully tried hard to manage a victory for Team India taking the match to the second last ball.
