Ahmedabad: Skipper Hardik Pandya on Sunday night congratulated the Gujarat Titans team for clinching the IPL trophy and said it is hard work which led to the victory.

"CHAMPIONS This is for all the hard work we’ve put in! Congratulations to all the players, staff, fans @gujarat_titans," he tweeted.

Hardik Pandya's all-round show helped Gujarat Titans defeat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets and 11 balls to spare to clinch their maiden Indian Premier League title here on Sunday.

Shubman Gill played a stylish unbeaten knock of 45 runs and David Miller remained 32 not out as Titans chased down the target of 131 runs.

Rajasthan posted 130 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the final clash.

Titans lost only three wickets to reach the target and emerge as new IPl champions.
