Geneva, Sept 3 (IBNS): UEFA on Saturday said it has been informed on Friday by the FIFA Review Committee that all of the candidates running for election at the UEFA Congress on Sept 14 in Athens have successfully passed the eligibility checks conducted by FIFA.

"Aleksander ÄŒeferin, Michael van Praag and Ángel María Villar Llona – who will be running for the position of UEFA President and would thus automatically become FIFA vice-president – as well as Evelina Christillin, who is running for a female position on the FIFA Council, have all complied with the eligibility requirements," the UEFA said in a statement.
