Vijender Singh beats Chinese opponent Zulpikar Maimaitiali, extends winning run

Mumbai, Aug 5 (IBNS): Indian boxing sensation Vijender Singh defeated Zulpikar Maimaitiali to win the second title of his career.


This was his ninth consecutive bout victory.

In a tough 10-round battle, the Indian fighter defeated his Chinese opponent  by a unanimous decision.

The victory helped Singh retain his  WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight title.

Zulpikar suffered first defeat in his professional career, reports said.

He remained undefeated previous nine professional bouts.
