Virat Kohli completes 11 years in international cricket, looks back with heartwarming message
New Delhi, Aug 19 (IBNS): On the completion of his 11 years in international cricket, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has shared a heartwarming message on social media remembering his journey.
Kohli shared an image on Twitter where the skipper is seen wearing the national team's jersey for the first time.
"From starting as a teenager on the same day in 2008 to reflecting on the journey 11 years after, I couldn't have dreamt of the blessings God has showered me with. May you all get the strength and power to follow your dreams and always follow the right path. #forevergrateful" he tweeted.

Kohli, who had led India's Under-19 team to World Cup victory, made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 2008. He so far played 239 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and scored 11,520 runs. In 70 T20Is, he scored 2,369 runs.
The right-handed batsman made his Test debut against West Indies in 2011. In 77 Test matches played so far, Kohli slammed 6,613 runs.
After Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired from Test cricket in 2014, Kohli was named as the captain in the longest format of the game. In 2017, he went on to become the skipper in the limited overs as well after Dhoni stepped down from his post.
Kohli led the Indian team in 2017 Champions Trophy and 2019 World Cup but failed to win the trophies.
