Virat Kohli's stunning double ton helps India post 601/5d against South Africa
Pune: Riding on Virat Kohli's unbeaten 254 runs knock, India posted a mammoth 601 runs for the loss of five wickets before declaring on the second day of the ongoing second Test match against South Africa here on Friday.
Indian batsmen completely dominated the proceedings and made things difficult for the South African bowlers.
Agarwal (108), Ravindra Jadeja (91), Rahane (59) and Pujara (58) contributed strongly with their willows.
Kohli smashed the seventh double hundred of his career.
He hit 33 boundaries and two sixes in his knock.
Rabada picked up three wickets in the innings for South Africa.
