London: American Tennis icon Serena Williams suffered a first round exit at the ongoing Wimbledon on Tuesday when she was defeated by  Harmony Tan.

French Harmony Tan defeated her senior opponent by 7-5, 1-6, 7-6(7) margin.

Serena, the 23-time Grand Slam champion,  returned to the same Centre Court this year from where she had limped out injured last year.

"That's a question I can't answer," she told a news conference when asked whether it was her last Wimbledon.

"I don't know," she said.
