World Championship : India's Jitu Rai wins silver

Granada, Sept 9 (IBNS): Indian shooter Jitu Rai won a silver medal at the 51st Shooting World Championships here on Tuesday.

By winning the medal in the  men's 50-metre pistol event, the Indian also  qualified for the  2016 Rio Olympics by bagging a quota place.

Jin Jingoh of South Korea clinched the gold medal with 192.3 points.

Indian shooter narrowly  missed the gold  as he scored 191.1 points in the final.

The bronze medal went to  Pang Wei of China.
