World Cup: Hardik Pandya, Siraj dismiss openers after Pakistan make a strong start in high-voltage encounter

Indian pacers Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Siraj took two wickets each as Pakistan scored 105 runs for the loss of two wickets at the end of 21 overs in the high-octane Group Stage match of the World Cup in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Babar Azam (31*) and Mohammad Rizwan (17*) are currently at the crease.

Pakistani openers Abdullah Shafique  (20) and Imam-ul-Haq (36) gave the side a strong start at the beginning of the innings.

Pakistan lost the first wickets with 41 runs on the scorecard when Siraj trapped Haq leg before.

India defeated Pakistan in their last encounter which took place during Asia Cup.

So far, India defeated Australia, and Afghanistan in the previous two matches of the ongoing World Cup.

India earlier won the toss and opted to field first.
