Lucknow, Jun 8 (IBNS): Uttar Pradesh Tourism is organising a Mango Festival in Lucknow in the last week of June, according to media reports.

The festival will be held from June 25-26, 2016, at the Indira Gandhi Pratisthan in Lucknow.

Chief secretary Alok Ranjan said that the aim of the mango festival is to educate people about diverse kinds of mango produced in the state and elsewhere.

Key objectives of the festival include facilitating marketing of mangoes and mango-based processed food and  horticulture-based tourism promotion.

Mango growers from other states have also been invited to participate in the festival.
