Kabul, Dec 1 (IBNS): At least 11 Taliban terrorists, including three commanders, were killed during an airstrike conducted by foreign forces on the outskirts of Afghanistan's Farah City, media reports said on Saturday.

Farah police spokesman Mohibullah Mohib told Pajhwok Afghan News the airstrikes targeted two vehicles carrying Taliban militants in Takht-i-Tewsak and Kora Gaza areas of Farah City on Thursday evening.

He told the Afghanistan-based news agency that three commanders were among eleven Taliban killed in the strikes. He identified the slain commanders as Mullah Abdul Zahir Hotak, Abdul Salam Hanzala and Mullah Abdul Shakoor.

The airstrikes were conducted away from the residential areas.
