Kabul: A section of Afghan students demonstrated in front of the Pakistani embassy in the capital Kabul after they were not issued Pak visas despite winning educational scholarships from the neighbouring country.

The banners carried by the students are painted with the slogans as quoted by Tolo News that: “The students have nothing to do with politics. We want our visas.”

“We call on the relevant departments of Pakistan to take necessary steps,” Jahan Zaib Waziri, a protesting student, told the Afghan media outlet.

“The lessons began about 40 days ago but have yet to participate in the universities,” Milad Ahmad, another student, told Tolo News.

These students won scholarships for bachelors, masters, and PhD degrees at Allama Iqbal Open University in Islamabad, Tolo News reported.
