Afghanistan: Roof of school building collapses in Kandahar, 1 dies

Kandahar, Afghanistan/IBNS: At least one student was killed as the roof of a religious school collapsed in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar city on Thursday, media reports said on Friday.

The mishap left at least 13 others injured.

According to an official, the roof of dormitory of Al-Nuria Madrasa (religious school) collapsed at 10:00 am local time (05:30 GMT/ 11:00 IST) on Thursday, killing one seminarian and injuring 13 others, reports Xinhua news agency.

Police did not comment on the incident so far.
