Afghanistan: Security force members take back Kaldar district from Taliban

Kabul:  Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) members have taken back  Kaldar district from Taliban group, media reports said on Monday.

The Ministry of National Defense in a statement reported, ANDSF by launching a military operation succeeded to take control of Kaldar district from Taliban fighters, reports Bakhtar news agency.

About 20 fighters of Taliban group were killed and dozens more were wounded during the military operation as well, the statement added.

Violence has increased in Afghanistan in recent times ever since foreign troops started moving out of the country.

The Taliban has captured several regions in the country.
