Amtrak passenger train derails in Washington state, several feared dead

Los Angeles, Dec 18 (IBNS): Several people are feared dead as an Amtrak passenger train derailed in Washington state on Monday, media reports said.

The derailment sent at least one car off a bridge onto a crowded highway.

Amtrak passenger Chris Karnes told local news outlet KIRO 7 that passengers were forced to kick out of the train windows in order to escape.

However, the number of deaths are yet to be announced.

According to reports, no motorists were dead but several received injuries.
