London: Overseas Pakistanis have lodged a complaint here against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif over the latter’s alleged involvement in attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, media reports said on Monday.

According to details, the overseas Pakistanis have lodged a complaint against Nawaz Sharif over his alleged involvement in the attack on Imran Khan during PTI's long march in Wazirabad, reports ARY News.

In the complaint, the overseas Pakistanis called the PML-N supremo ‘mastermind’ behind the assassination attempt on PTI Chief.

The complaint read as quoted by ARY News: "The assassination attempt on Imran Khan was planned in London."

The counsel of the petitioners said that PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah were also nominated in the complaint.

“The London police have assured action by giving the crime reference number,” he told ARY News.

A supporter was killed and 13 others were injured in what his party called an "assassination attempt" on the former cricketer.

The attack happened during his ongoing march to Islamabad at Gujranwala district, about 200 km from the capital, against the army establishment-backed central government.
