Bangladesh road mishap leaves two dead

Dhaka/IBNS: A bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Bangladesh's Rajshahi  area which left at least two people killed, media reports said.

The deceased were identified as Riaz Uddin (55), son of Jolus Mondol, and Habibur Rahman (45), son of Solimuddin, both from Nachol upazila, The Daily Star reported.

Rakibul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Tanore Police Station, told the newspaper that the Mundumala-bound bus hit a tree on the side of the road and fell into a ditch in Buraburi area around 12:00pm.  

Seven passengers were hurt in the mishap.

The bodies of the deceased were sent to  Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
