Bangladesh: Zia returns home

Dhaka, Apr 5 (IBNS): Ending her long stay at the party office in Gulsan, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia returned to her residence here on Sunday after securing bail in two graft cases.

She appeared at the court in connection with the Zia Orphanage Trust and Zia Charitable Trust cases.

After securing her bail, she went to her residence and reached her home at around 12:20pm, local media reports said.

She was staying at the office since Jan 3.

After Zia was prevented from attending a rally marking one-year of the Jan 5 one-sided parliamentary election earlier this month, the BNP-led 20-party alliance had declared nonstop blockade across the nation.
