Toronto, Feb 20 (IBNS): Resigned Ontatio Progressive Conservative Party leader Patrick Brown has skipped the first day of the final session of Ontario legislature to campaign for the party leadership, media reports said.

Brown, who has jumped into the leadership race surprising everyone, told media that he will be outside Toronto.

However, Brown after returning to the legislature will have to sit as an Independent as he has been kicked out of the Tory Caucus after charges of sexual harassment were brought against the former PC leader by two women.

Saying repeatedly that he has cleared himself from the party, Brown said it is the people who have encouraged him to join the leadership race.

Reportedly, one of the accused, who had earlier said she was a high school student when Brown had sexually ill-treated her, changed her stance. She said that she was not a high school student.

Brown's former girl friend Mikaela Patterson, in an interview with CBC News, has rubbished allegations made by one of the two accusers, media reports said.

Patterson has rubbished the allegations made by the then university student who had accused Brown of sexual ill-treating her following a Hockey Night in Barrie Charity game.

The accused had said Brown had forced on her when she visited the then PC leader's bedroom.
