Canada Post cancels holiday delivery over rotating strike

| @indiablooms | Dec 06, 2018, at 07:48 pm

Ottawa, Dec 6 (IBNS): Canada Post has cancelled the holiday delivery guarantee over the backlogs created due to the rotating strike, media reports said.

John Hamilton, Canada Post spokesperson, has been quoted by CTV News as saying, "We came into December overloaded."

"We've been working through that but more and more comes and it's more than we're able to get out the door."

Canada Post workers were forced to join works with back-to-work legislation, which was passed in the House of Commons in November.

Due to the strike, Canada Post had said parcel deliveries may get delayed.
