Canada: Six people dies in Alberta Highway crash

Edmonton, Aug 8 (IBNS): Six people were killed in a collision on a highway in Alberta province of Canada on Tuesday, media reports said.

The deceased are yet to be identified.

One of the victims, a 26-year old woman, suffered critical, possibly life-threatening injuries.

Alberta Health Services told CTV News that the accident occurred on Highway 93 in Jasper National Park on Tuesday evening.

Information on the number of vehicles involved are also unknown.

Gagan Sidhu, who was coming to the area from Surrey, British Columbia, told CTV News that he felt there were two vehicles which collided with one another and caught fire.

Sidhu said several passersby stopped to help with shovels and fire extinguisher to control the fire.
