Canadian PM Justin Trudeau discusses human rights, bilateral ties with newly elected Pakistan PM Imran Khan

Toronto, Aug 21 (IBNS): Canadian PM Justin Trudeau on Monday spoke with Pakistan's new PM Imran Khan over the telephone and said he wanted to work together for the people of both the nations.

Trudeau said he spoke with Imran Khan over numerous issues ranging from human rights, girls’ education, trade, climate change, and refugees.

"In discussing human rights, girls’ education, trade, climate change, and refugees, PM @ImranKhanPTI & I had a great phone conversation today. Congratulations again, Imran, on forming Pakistan’s new government – I look forward to working together for people in both our countries," Trudeau tweeted.

Imran Khan took oath as the new PM of Pakistan last week.

His PTI scripted a massive victory in the general elections of the Asian nation recently.
