China: Lanzhou city put under lockdown to bring COVID-19 spike under control
Lanzhou: Chinese city of Lanzhou has been put under lockdown by authorities to bring the COVID-19 spike under control, media reports said on Tuesday.
“All types of residential communities are to implement closed management,” said the local government in a statement, as China reported 29 new domestic infections, reported AFP.
China has witnessed several rounds of pandemic in the past.
The virus is believed to have originated from China's Wuhan region.
