Curfew enforced in Baltimore

Baltimore, Apr 29 (IBNS) A day after the Baltimore witnessed violence, curfew was enforced in the US city on Tuesday, officials said.

"The emergency curfew went into effect at 10:00pm tonight. The group at North Ave/Pennsylvania Ave refuses to leave the area," the police tweeted.

Violence protests erupted in the streets of Baltimore city in the US over the death of Freddie Gray who was fatally injured in police custody, media reports had said on Tuesday.

African American Freddie Gray died on Apr 19.

According to reports, Gray died of a severe spinal cord injury while he was in police custody.

Gray's funeral was held on Monday.
