New Delhi, Jan 26 (IBNS) The US Secret Service has recovered a "device" from the grounds of the White House, but it did not appear an "ongoing threat," a spokesman said on Monday.
"There is a device that has been recovered by the Secret Service at the White House,"  Barack Obama s spokesman Josh Earnest said during a press conference here.

"Early indication is that it does not pose any sort of ongoing threat to anybody right now at the White House," Earnest, who is accompanying Obama among others, said.

He said the Secret Service would provide more information as soon as it was available.

Asked whether the device was discovered in the White House grounds, he replied: "It s my understanding".

The US President and the first lady arrived here on Sunday on a three-day visit prompting security agencies to go for an unprecedented security in the capital.
