Explosion hits central Istanbul
Istanbul, Jan 12 (IBNS) Several people were expected to have been killed as an explosion rocked Turkey's Sultanahmet area in Istanbul on Tuesday, media reports said.
The explosion occurred close to the Blue Mosque.
It happened at around 10:00 local time.
The police have sealed off the area.
"Some local reports suggest the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber," BBC reported.
