Fire in Dubai hotel injures 14

New Delhi, Jan 1 (IBNS) At least 14 people were injured as a fire broke out in a luxury Dubai hotel on Thursday night, media reports said.

The fire reportedly started on the 20th floor of the Address Downtown hotel and later spread to the upper storeys of the building.

Fore fighters rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control.

The incident happened just hours before the city got engaged in New Year celebrations.

Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Dubai Police Chief was quoted as saying by Gulf News that 14 people sustained minor injuries and they were treated at the site.
