Five Chinese nationals were among six killed after their convoy targeted in Pakistan

At least six Chinese nationals and a Pakistani were killed after their convoy was attacked in Bisham region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla region on Tuesday.

Malakand's deputy inspector general of police (DIG) told Geo News a suicide bomber crashed his vehicle full of explosives into the car in which the Chinese nationals were travelling.

He said the driver of the vehicle was Pakistani and he was injured in the incident.

The driver later died.

The Chinese nationals were engineers who were going to Dasu camp, Kohistan from Islamabad, Pakistani officials told Geo News.

Security personnel later reached the spot and cordoned off the area.

Search operation are currently ongoing to detect those behind the attack.

In his X post, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the attack on Chinese residents in Bisham.
