Five injured in Nepal bus mishap

Kathmandu, July 7 (IBNS): At least five people were injured when the bus in which they were traveling fell below the road in Dharmaghar of Sunarya Rural Municipality-3, along the Baitadi-Gokuleshwar road section in Baitadi district of Nepal on Friday, media reports said.

As per local media reports, the injured people were identified as  Ram Datta Bhatta, Lokesh Bohara, Bharat Bista, Hari Singh Karki and Deepak Luhar.

The incident occurred when the bus (Ba 3 Kha 5175) en route from Kathmandu to Ganna in Darchula, skidded off the road and plunged about 200 metres onto a ravine at around 3:00 am this morning,  Police Constable Harjeet Singh Thagunna at the Baitadi District Police Office, was qoted as saying by The Himalyan Times.

The exact cause of the mishap is still not known.

The injured people were rushed to hospital for treatment.
